Now Hiring a Deputy City Secretary (Applications Closed)

The City of Weston Lakes is accepting applications for a deputy city secretary. This will function as a “relief” city secretary. Hours will be sporadic and always part time. Duties will include assisting the City Secretary with their duties. The City Secretary’s duties are attached. Compensation will be commensurate with experience in the $15-$18 per hour range. Position open until filled.

Fort Bend County Fair Senior Citizens’ Day

The Senior Citizens’ Day is a popular free event that brings senior citizens from all over Fort Bend County to enjoy a day of fun and interaction amongst their peers. Activities include bingo, music and lunch. Door prizes and goody bags will be given away and vendors will also be set up with useful information for attendees. The fun begins at 9:00am in Fairgrounds Building C on Monday, September 25.

We had over 800 Fort Bend “seniors” show up for music, bingo and lunch. Weston Lakes Mayor Bob Wall led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge.

2023 Fort Bend County Fair Parade

The 2023 Fort Bend County Fair Parade will officially kick off the 87th Annual Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo on Friday, September 29th at 9:00 am. School is out that day so bring the family to watch the parade wind its way from the Historic Court House in Richmond and proceed west down Hwy. 90-A to Jennetta Street in Rosenberg.
